The new Tiger 1200 Desert Edition adds to the mid-spec Tiger XCx specification with an even higher level of equipment, designed to enhance the ride and deliver even greater value.

HILL HOLD

Hill hold control prevents the bike rolling backwards for enhanced ride confidence and maximum control, even when fully loaded or with a pillion. The system applies the rear brake until sensing the rider is starting to move off, and is activated using the front brake lever. The new standard fit feature for 2021 is switchable via the bike set-up menu.

DEDICATED HIGH-SPEC SETUP

Enhancing its adventure capability, the Desert Edition features a lightweight Arrow silencer and, for clutchless gear changes and an even smoother ride, Triumph Shift Assist as standard.

PREMIUM LIGHTWEIGHT ARROW SILENCER

The new premium Arrow silencer is 4.6 pounds lighter than standard and delivers a notably more thrilling Tiger triple soundtrack.

POWERFUL AND RESPONSIVE ENGINE
 

The Desert Edition features the thrilling 1,215cc Tiger triple engine and delivers 139 peak horsepower at 9,350 rpm and maximum torque of 89 LB-FT at 7,600 rpm, giving more immediate power delivery and exceptional all-day road and off-road riding capability.

The new Tiger 1200 Desert Edition offers a wide range of technological features, including full LED lighting, optimized cornering ABS and Traction Control, five riding modes (‘Rain’, ‘Road’, ‘Off-Road’, ‘Sport’, and ‘Off-Road Pro’), cruise control and keyless ignition.

Dynamic angle adjustable full-color 5-inch TFT instruments, ergonomically designed switchcubes and premium backlit 5-way joystick and button give the rider even greater control.

HIGH SPECIFICATION SUSPENSION
 

The Desert Edition’s premium adjustable WP suspension includes Triumph’s Semi Active Suspension (TSAS) system, which allows the rider to electronically control the type of the ride.

Twin 305 mm floating discs with radially mounted 4-piston monobloc Brembo calipers on the front, and a single 282 mm disc with Nissin 2-piston sliding caliper on the back, deliver exceptional braking performance and immediate response.

For superb off-road capability, stylish all-black wheels with 32-spoke aluminum rims come wrapped in Metzeler Tourance tubeless tires (front R19 x 3”, rear R17 x 4.5”) or an optional handbook-approved off-road Pirelli Scorpion setup.
